lets get this thing started come at me bros

  • http://www.youtube.com/extremistpullup Extremistpullup

I’m eyeing the 400 lb crew for this Comp.

  • Lorenzo

Ok, I seen these two videos. Are they example videos or real competition? If I load 90lbs (2 45lb weights) and knock out 10 pull ups, is that good or am I to max weight it? Just wondering how this is to go.

  • http://www.extremepullups.com/extremepullups extremepullups

these are real competition videos. yes it is 1 rep max weight

  • http://www.extremepullups.com/TheDarkOne TheDarkOne

Interesting. I have no idea what I can do, but I will post a video soon. Being 185 lbs, I guess I automatically take 1st place? ;)

  • http://www.extremepullups.com/extremepullups extremepullups

videos are coming in slowly still alot of time left

  • http://www.extremepullups.com/ExtremistPullup ExtremistPullup

Why are the 170-199 people holding out, strategy?

  • http://www.youtube.com/extremistpullup Extremistpullup

I wonder why so many 170-199 people are holding out I know there is a lot of time left but still..

  • http://www.extremepullups.com/extremepullups extremepullups

the videos should start coming in faster now that everyone has examples of how to make a video

  • http://www.youtube.com/extremistpullup Extremistpullup

Hopefully the quailty of the videos will increase.

Record a test run of just a bodyweight rep and play in back on your computer
    Ask yourself the following questions.

    1. Can I tell if my chin went over the bar.
    2. Where my feet still touching the ground when I started pulling.
    3. Can I read how much weight it is.
    4. Is my whole body visable.

  • http://www.extremepullups.com/TheDarkOne TheDarkOne

I don’t know if the 170-199 guys are holding out, or just not aware of the competition.

  • http://www.youtube.com/extremistpullup Extremistpullup

maybe they can’t decide what weight class they want to be in.

  • http://www.extremepullups.com/TheDarkOne TheDarkOne

Hey Extremistpullup, chill out bro, you are making the rest of us look bad. ;)

  • http://www.youtube.com/extremistpullup Extremistpullup

There are people youtube that clam to do 400+ lbs total, I wonder if they will show up for this?

  • http://www.extremepullups.com/extremepullups extremepullups

Ive never seen real proof of it though. They never show the weights

  • http://www.extremepullups.com/TheDarkOne TheDarkOne

Well, the pure weight thing is kind of unfair. For instance, I have a buddy that could probably do it, but he weighs 315 which is only 26% of his body weight. My other buddy who is a lot better of pullups and weighs 155 would have to add 245 lbs which would be 158% of his body weight. Going off of percentage is really the only fair way to do this.

  • http://www.extremepullups.com/ExtremistPullup ExtremistPullup

    @TheDarkOne

I Weight classes helps make it fair, so your 155 lb friend doesn’t have to compete against your 315 friend.

  • http://www.extremepullups.com/TheDarkOne TheDarkOne

True, that helps. My point was just to say that pulling 400+ lbs is a whole lot easier for some than others.

  • Sayath

    Awesome read, well done

  • http://www.youtube.com/extremistpullup Extremistpullup

I wish I could get to the point where 400 would be easy.

Right now I would say 360 is easy.

  • http://www.extremepullups.com/TheDarkOne TheDarkOne

    @ Extremistpullup…
My I just reiterate how kick ass your pull was. That is like doing a pull-up with me hanging on your back fully clothed.

So does it follow that if you hit 100% then you can do a 1 arm pull-up?

  • http://www.youtube.com/extremistpullup Extremistpullup

    @ TheDarkOne

If someone could to 100% they should be able to do a one arm pullup with enough practace.

I was able to do 2 one arm pullups and one with my left when my max was only 85% of my bodyweight, If I tryed one today I proably wouldn’t be able to do it since I haven’t done them in so long. Within a couple of weeks I would proably get one.

  • http://www.extremepullups.com/TheDarkOne TheDarkOne

Cool, that is my long term goal with this 1RM thing. That is quite the accomplishment.

  • Shaker_cup

Shaker Cup up in this bitch! 156 lb bodyweight, managed to get 1RM with 80 lbs on top of me at the end of my workout. Will submit video with more weight stylin on yall :)

  • http://www.youtube.com/extremistpullup Extremistpullup
